Chapter 6 - The Restitution of the Name

By Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., the grand executive boardroom on the fiftieth floor of the Ferraro-Vance Maritime Tower overlooking Providence Harbor was convened for an emergency plenary session of the international shipping trustees and longshoremen union directors.

The thirty-two senior division directors, deepwater crane operators, and maritime union representatives sat around the sixty-foot mahogany conference table in dead, suffocating silence.

The morning front-page headlines of The Providence Journal, The Boston Globe, and The Wall Street Journal lay spread across the polished table, every banner dominated by the same earth-shattering revelation:

FERRARO DYNASTY CRUSHES $120M ALBRIGHT TAKEOVER: ANTONIO FERRARO AND CLARA VANCE RECLAIM ENTIRE NARRAGANSETT BAY MARITIME EMPIRE.

When the double frosted-glass doors swung open, every single executive in the room stood up in unison.

Antonio Ferraro walked into the boardroom, dressed in an immaculate bespoke charcoal three-piece suit, his posture radiating total, uncontested dominance.

Walking beside him, holding her head high with regal, sovereign dignity, was Clara Vance.

She wore an exquisite, tailored dark navy wool three-piece suit with an ivory silk blouse, wearing the restored gold signet compass of the Rhode Island Port Authority around her neck.

And seated in the center place of honor at the head of the table, looking radiant, dignified, and completely restored in an ivory silk dress and matching turban, was Rosalind Ferraro.

Following behind them were Arthur Ross, Detective Marcus Thorne, and Chief Financial Auditor David Sterling, carrying four heavy aluminum Pelican cases containing the unsealed Delaware and Grand Cayman forensic ledgers.

Antonio walked to the head of the table—the seat his father and grandfather had occupied for six decades. He pulled out the master executive armchair, gently seating Clara at the center of the board, while placing Rosalind at her right hand, before taking his place standing firmly beside them.

"Good afternoon, gentlemen," Antonio began, his deep baritone cutting through the room with absolute authority. "Item one on today's agenda is the formal, permanent termination of all corporate contracts, voting proxies, and advisory seats previously allocated to Albright Shipping and Julian Sterling."

The directors and union leaders nodded in rapid, unanimous agreement, every single man signing the emergency restructuring resolutions without a single objection.

"Item two," Antonio continued, looking around the table with cold, penetrating clarity. "The fifty-four million dollars siphoned from the dockworker pension fund has been fully recovered through the emergency federal seizure of the Albright family estates."

The room erupted into spontaneous, standing applause.

"And item three," Antonio added, turning his gaze toward Clara with boundless, unshakeable devotion. "Clara Vance is hereby confirmed as Supreme Fiduciary Trustee and Co-Chairwoman of the unified Ferraro-Vance Global Maritime Consortium, with absolute veto authority over all commercial, legal, and strategic operations."

I closed the master leather ledger with a sharp, definitive thud.

"And furthermore," Antonio announced, "the Thomas Vance Memorial Foundation for Port Safety and Worker Restitution is officially endowed with thirty million dollars in permanent capital, guaranteeing full healthcare coverage, emergency pensions, and university scholarships for the children of every dockworker and maritime employee across the Northeast."

The longshoremen union delegates and terminal directors rose to their feet, their cheers echoing through the high-vaulted glass atrium, sealing the dawn of an unshakeable, unified empire built on honor, loyalty, and truth.
