Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Circle

As the golden hues of autumn settled over the neighborhood, painting the maple trees in brilliant shades of crimson and gold, Mark stood on the front porch holding six-month-old Leo in his arms. The cool breeze carried the sweet scent of fallen leaves and woodsmoke from the chimney.

Emily walked out onto the porch carrying two mugs of hot cider, stepping up beside Mark and resting her head gently against his shoulder.
