On a bright Saturday morning in late spring, the academy hosted its very first open-house exhibition.
The grand ballroom of the former mansion—once the site of cold, terrifying galas—was now filled with the joyous clutter of easel paintings, robotic science projects, and the excited chatter of children running between exhibits.
Maya stood proudly beside her own display table near the center of the hall. Her project was an interactive holographic security model that mapped out safe zones for urban neighborhoods, built with clean, brilliant code that left visiting tech engineers utterly astounded.
Elena walked up to her table, carrying a tray of fresh juice and cupcakes, smiling warmly.
“How is the exhibition going, lead architect?” Elena asked, setting the tray down.
“It’s great, Aunt Elena!” Maya beamed, her eyes sparkling with uncontainable joy. “Three different universities already asked if they could license the firewall code!”
